Fangyanuo Zhou – Extracurricular Activities

Introduction: Built a big-data decision-support system during enterprise training at China Mobile. The core scenario was merchant site selection, and the same framework extends to commercial-district tenant acquisition, campaign operations, and public services. The agent interaction and the interface were optimized for site-selection analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Delivered the five core capabilities the course asked for: counting users who match a profile constraint inside a designated area, querying profile detail for those users, statistics on profile distribution, agent-based question answering, and the sequenced-visit analysis of crowds across designated regions.
• Extended the scenario with heatmaps, trajectory replay, and funnel analysis for regional conversion, and moved past the original design that read a fixed target-region file, letting users change the target route from the front end.
• Worked across the big-data stack, including Flume, Kafka, Flink, HBase, Spark, HDFS and ClickHouse, with Docker-based deployment alongside the enterprise-provided CentOS virtual machine.

Deliverables: Requirement, design, testing and summary documents, plus weekly Tencent Meeting discussion notes. Version control on GitHub with 14 branches, 9 pull requests and 44 commits on the main branch. Project site: Bigdata-Final-System.

• Weekly film selection and organization of themed screening months.
• On-site coordination for Guangzhou university joint screenings, about 200 participants each.
• Wrote articles for the film club’s official account, and took part in short video production and interviews.

Achievements: Sharpened aesthetic judgement and organizational coordination.

• Learned rapid MVP product incubation methods.
• Covered fundamentals of smart healthcare and quantitative investment.

Introduction: Arranged by Prof. Dang, joined the second research group for a summer field research trip to Lianshan County, led by Prof. Lai Chao’an.

Scope:

• Visited government departments: the County Federation of Industry and Commerce (General Chamber of Commerce), the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, the Lianshan Branch of the Ecology and Environment Bureau, and the Development, Reform, Industry, Information, Technology and Commerce Bureau.
• Investigated industrial entities: the Simiao Rice Provincial Industrial Park, the Rice-Vegetable-Tea Provincial Modern Agriculture Industrial Park, and Zhuangyaobao Ecological Industry.

Achievements: Hands-on experience with county-level industry and with how policy lands on the ground, plus field research, government-enterprise communication and multi-department coordination.
